The travelers met tonight for a final travel planning, packing, and pool party. This was our final chance to get together to socialize, get to know each other, and catch up on all the pre-travel minutia: flight details, travel tips, what to expect at customs, and an outline for the week’s activities.
Many travelers brought extra suitcases and after sharing a meal, we crammed 30 of these “FONA suitcases” full of supplies for the trip itself, for VBS, and our planned restoration, building and cleanup activities.
Once the work was done we retired to the pool for some social time. The kids spent some fun time in the pool as the adults socialized. There’s a reason they call us Friends of North Andros.
I think I speak for all of us when I say we’re now counting down the days…
